by Biffins, 543 days agoAlzedo, Tyga and I formed Horizon in March 2007. The last 2 years have been an absolute blast and Horizon has achieved server firsts for the last 1.5 years or so. At this stage, while the guild was still going strong, the 3 of us have decided that we want to get more from the game than just lead what we believe was the best guild on Bronzebeard. With that said we have brought the Horizon era to a close on a joyous and triumphant note. My thanks to all who have made it such a joy to login for the last 2 years. It's been an absolute blast and I believe we all carry with us great memories from our great time in Horizon. And I wish all Horizon members well in their future endeavours. Cheers to all, good luck and thank you.
by Biffins, 650 days agoWotLK has arrived and been an absolute blast. I have been too busy playing to update the page but am happy to report that Horizon has cleared all raid content currently in the game and picked up the Realm First titles for the achievements along the way for all 3.
Obisidian Sanctum - Saartharion dragon screenshot missing.
We also took down the Stone Watcher 25 man boss in Wintergrasp a number of times.
We now have various raid achievements to look forward to testing our skills on as we bide our time till Uldular. Cheers.

After countless days, literally hundreds of attempts, a shuffle in the raid roster along the way, an epic effort finally reaches a fruitful conclusion against possibly the most over-tuned fight ever put in the game. The balance requirements alone almost broke us, let alone the fact we could not muster up more than 3 shamans including our win as we finally got our 5th boss down in Shaman Plateau and onwards to Kil'jaeden. Cheers to all in the epic struggle and those who helped along the way but weren't there for the final kill itself.
by Biffins, 844 days agoAfter managing to get our enhancement shaman some resto gear, gearing up some shaman alts with resto gear, and having people play their resto shaman friends, we finally managed to beat Eredar Twins and can also confirm the popular assertion, Chain Heal > Eredar Twins. Cheers to all.
by Biffins, 869 days agoA thoroughly enjoyable event and we managed to take down Felmyst in a couple of days. Half-way through Sunwell, 3/6 and onwards to the Eredar Twins
by Biffins, 882 days agoAfter a protracted wait there was much rejoicing and excitement on trying, learning and beating new encounters. Blizzard has released only the first 3 encounters and I hope they're spending time balancing the last 3 as precisely as they got the first 3 right.
We managed to take down Kalecgos and Brutallus, the first two bosses and have been working on Felmyst. Sunwell Plateau has turned out to be an excellent zone to date, from challenging but not absurd trash, safe zones for rez recoveries so no reclearing needed, and no trash at all for the 2nd and 3rd bosses and above all challenging and yet beatable encounters. Kudos to Blizzard on delivering what they promised and releasing one of their most polished and balanced raid zones without needing adjustments/fixes/nerfs/buffs from day 1. Hopefully the rest of the zone will live up in quality as well and hopefully Blizzard can learn to make content of this quality faster than once every 8 months.
I lost the screenshots for the 2 kills so you'll just have to take my word for it. When I find some of them, I'll update the page.

by Biffins, 1048 days agoDoesn't matter what the nameless event is generally known as, it was a tough fight and a triumphant one for us as we conquered it fast to continue our relentless progress through the zone.
